SALES MANAGER

Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge of the industry, emerging digital media such as social media marketing, the competition, and the client to develop and execute value added strategies that generates business and strengthens our position in the marketplace

Lead all facets of the sales and activation cycle including prospecting, customer assessment, analysis, strategies, best practices, ROI modeling, key industry research rollout, focus group information synthesis, competitive intelligence, sales proposals, contracting, and alignment to existing solutions

Identifies and cultivates relationships with senior level brand and agency personnel in targeted accounts who make digital and television advertising purchasing decisions

Lead or assist in the development of client proposal, sales and contract negotiations through to the close of new or renewed business

Deliver the highest quality proposals for clients, often juggling multiple projects which must be personalized with specific details

Develop strong business partnerships with assigned accounts for the purpose of growing advertising revenues

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to help meet and exceed revenue goals

Ensures that the sales staff meets and/or exceeds revenue expectations

Has a clear, formal, written plan to attack key account segments

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of online/digital and interactive advertising tools in order to advise advertisers and peer advertising sales representatives on the effective use of online/digital and interactive advertisements
  • Strong oral, problem solving, communications, writing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Well organized, professional, high energy and detail-oriented
  • Confident, flexible, multi-tasker, and able to work independently

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in Business/Marketing or Communications. Sales related experience preferred.
